Andrew Henderson was appointed to construct an early learning centre, located in Mulgrave, Victoria. This was the third project partnership with Guardian Early Learning Centre. The project captures the nexus of the Guardian Early Learning framework. A key challenge of the Andrew, was to create a new early learning facility within a new commercial building. The project included construction of open play areas, interactive learning spaces, art studios, a childrens sleeping space and a dining area. Service areas were also constructed, including a commercial kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities and a centre management office. The external design was crucial in bringing this philosophy to life, with a nature-inspired interactive and multi-sensory landscaped play area. The treetop space is filled with real timber logs, sand pits, timber climbing structures, river bed water features and a cubby house.
