Andrew Henderson was engaged by Guardian Early Learning Group to complete a total refurbishment of their Blyth Street Centre in Brunswick, Victoria. The existing building is located in a beautiful old heritage home that was constructed in the early 1900’s. Andrew led a team that thoughtfully worked through the challenges of converting an old home into a new early learning space whilst the centre was in full operation. The new design is an open access arena of bright, nature-inspired structures and a clever creation of indoor and outdoor spaces. The project includes upgraded activity areas and a new commercial kitchen. Andrew successfully staged the build to allow continued operation of the existing Centre with emphasis on safety in consideration of children in close proximity. Andrew and Guardian Early Learning Centre has partnered on a number of projects and continue to strengthen their relationship.
